Aloha mommas of O’ahu,
I would like to introduce you to my friend Kiersten Homalon of Essence from Eden Hawai’i. Kiersten is a momma to a gorgeous daughter and soon-to-be son. She is a certified placenta encapsulator and postpartum specialist serving families of O’ahu.
Her products smell delicious. I usually offer the Happy Vah Jay Jay bath tea to my birth doula clients for a postpartum perineum spray. It’s very soothing. Your postpartum healing is important.
Check out Kiersten’s herbal remedies and purchase from her Etsy shop.
I incorporate some of Kiersten’s products, along with essential oils and other natural wellness supplements for immune boosting, energy, sleep, and relaxation.
A journey to health and wellness, as many know, is not one that ever seems to have an ending point.
There is always new research out there, better ways to eat, new fitness tips and secrets, and a wide variety of options as far as what combination of those regiments and practices you want to include in your life. However, something that has withstood the test of time, are herbal remedies and the use of whole foods as a source of medicine and healing.
If we all look back I am sure that we all had someone in our family that had the ability to whip up a remedy from the things in their garden combined with a few things from their kitchen to heal any ailment that they came across.
That is an art form that I would really like to introduce to our consumer minded generation.
Yes, I understand that not all of us are in a place where we have time to create herbal remedies (And that is why I started Essence From Eden), but at some point I would like to share the knowledge and fulfillment that comes from creating your own remedies for those you love, and seeing them work!
The great thing about herbs and whole foods is that whenever you are using them you are constantly in an ebb and flow of learning and progressing in knowledge!
This is both humbling and motivating for me!
The thing I hold on to the most is that our bodies are meant to digest food. It recognizes the components of what we consume, breaks it down into what is to be used, and then flushes out the unneeded elements. Obviously this is an oversimplified breakdown of how our bodies function, but you get the idea and power of using herbs and whole foods as our medicine instead of synthetics!
Below I have included some products that I have worked to blend and create that I have used for myself, my family, friends and my clients.
They are all a labor of love and I hope that is translated when you consume these items. I always include all of the ingredients on the label, and if you ever want to create your own product I am always available to send you all the ingredients you will need!
